In Liṅgapurāṇa (Lingapurana) there is a mention of one Amareśatīrtha (Amaresatirtha) belonging to Vārāṇasīkṣetra (Varanasikshetra). God Śiva (Siva) is also worshiped as Amareśa in this tīrtha.
