Asaṅga (Asanga) is the son of Sātyaki (Satyaki) or Yuyudhāna (Yuyudhana), in the the genealogical line of Anamitra, belonging to Vṛṣṇivaṁśa (Vrishnivamsa; the genealogical line of Vrishni).
